deeply rooted; gently untangled
Holistic and Integrative Psychotherapy
Benefits of therapy:

My approach to therapy is, in a single word, eclectic. I draw from many theories, interventions, and practices to meet my clients right there they are understanding this can shift session to session. In a nutshell, this means I don’t follow one specific framework but rather draw from my education, ongoing trainings, experiences, work with clients, and my own attunement. I strongly believe in taking the concepts that work for you and leaving the pieces that don’t align. Integrating various modalities allows for deeper, more meaningful impacts.
I am not a therapist who is going to turn therapy into a string of pop-psychology buzzwords or focus all of your sessions only on teaching coping skills or throwing a bunch of acronyms at you. I am a therapist who is going to encourage you to think and feel on a deeper level with empathy, compassion, and self-kindness. My work is grounded in Humanistic, Bottom-Up, Somatic, Depth-Psychology, and Lifestyle Focused perspectives, which essentially means I will show up as my authentic self, hold space for strong emotions, maybe shed a tear when you talk about losing a pet, challenge deep-seated negative beliefs that are not genuinely yours, present you with another way to interpret your thoughts and emotions, and offer direct feedback about what you can control. Pairing this with a traditional Top-Down approach allows space to connect the past with the present, to make sense of why you feel and think what you do and how this impacts your daily life, and to explore adjustments in behavioral patterns to alleviate intense sensations and release emotional blockages. I practice from a client-centered perspective, firmly believing that you are the ultimate expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate and make sense of your experiences. In our sessions, I offer gentle feedback, fresh perspectives, and steady encouragement—while always celebrating your progress.
More than just conversations, your sessions are opportunities for self-discovery and empowerment. Sometimes our sessions might include enjoying a cup of tea, going for a walk, grounding on the floor of my office, or finding a bench down by the river soaking all nature has to offer. Other times, it might mean creating a quiet space just to breathe, allowing raw emotions to rise and fall, or gently diving into deeply rooted patterns. I believe that everyone has the capacity for personal growth through deep, inner work and intentional living practices.
In case you are interested in the specific theories and interventions, a few I like to draw from include Somatic Psychotherapy, Jungian Therapy, Existential Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Lifestyle Psychotherapy.

Prior to scheduling an appointment, I'll gather a bit of information to determine if my approach aligns with your beliefs about healing through a short survey. I will review your answers and if we are a good fit, you will complete intake paperwork including consent forms and more in depth questionaries prior to scheduling an intake session. This helps me to review your areas of strength and need so we can dive more quickly into topics you'd like to focus on. Additionally, I will collect your insurance information to verify benefits.
